Scheduled sea transport out of Dubrovnik is cheap and the published sheets say so: €3.40 to the Elafiti off-season and €5.40 in season, with a child fare that never moves. What a room costs is a question for the booking engine.
Excursion prices and state fares are different products
Almost everything sold to a visitor in Dubrovnik that involves a boat is an excursion, priced as a day out. Underneath that sits a public tariff for the same water, published line by line by the state agency, and the gap between the two is large enough to change how often you go.
Line 807 is a Jadrolinija passenger ship and a commuter service before it is anything else. Line 9807 is a TP Line catamaran running down to Mljet and, for part of the summer, beyond. Between them they are the cheapest sea access in the country, and the tariff below is the whole of it.

The car column is blank all the way down and that is not missing data. Line 807 is a passenger ship and 9807 is a catamaran; neither publishes a vehicle fare because neither carries a vehicle. The one Dubrovnik service that does is line 831, and its per-line timetable is not in the bundle we hold, so nothing about its prices appears here.
Five tariffs on one crossing, and three of them are yours
Each line publishes several sheets for the same relation, and reading a figure off the wrong one is how people arrive expecting a fare that was never offered to them. Here are all five for a single crossing, Dubrovnik to Lopud, with the column that matters.
| Tariff sheet | When it applies | Dubrovnik to Lopud | Available to a visitor | What it is |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Off-season visitor fare | 1 January – 28 May and 28 September – 31 December | €3.40 | Yes | The ordinary fare for two thirds of the year. |
| Season visitor fare | 29 May – 27 September | €5.40 | Yes | The same boat, the same crossing, a different sheet. |
| Children 3 to 12 | All year | €1.90 | Yes | A year-round sheet. It does not move when the adult fare does. |
| Islanders’ tariff | All year | €1.80 | No | A residents’ fare. Published beside the others and not available to visitors. |
| Public service tariff | All year | €1.90 | No | Also a residents’ and services fare, and also not yours. |
The islanders’ and public service sheets are genuinely cheaper and genuinely unavailable. They exist because the line is a lifeline service for people who live on Koločep, Lopud and Šipan, and quoting them at a visitor is either an error or a trick. If you see a Croatian ferry fare quoted well below the numbers above, that is almost always which sheet it came from.
What a week of this actually adds up to
Take the arithmetic seriously for a moment, because it changes behaviour. Three return crossings to the Elafiti in season, for two adults, is twelve adult single fares at €5.40. Add two children at €1.90 a crossing and the seasonal uplift does not touch them at all, because the children’s sheet is year-round.
The consequence is that money is not the constraint on how often you get on a boat here. The timetable is. Where line 807 runs four sailings a day you can go as often as you like and the cost is trivial; where it drops to two on Sundays and public holidays, or where line 9807 runs once, the limit is the sailing and not the fare. Plan against the frequency and ignore the price.
Quoting a Croatian ferry fare you found somewhere else
Every relation on every line carries at least four published sheets and often five, and the spread across them is a factor of three. Dubrovnik to Lopud is €5.40 on the season sheet and €1.80 on the islanders’ one. A figure copied without its sheet is not a fare, it is a number.
The practical test is to ask which of the five a quoted price came from and on what date it was checked. If neither can be answered, discard it. The tariff above names its sheet and its verification date for exactly that reason, and the two residents’ sheets are marked unavailable rather than quietly omitted.
Nothing above concerns the property named in the title. We hold no rate for it, no rating, no capacity and no image, and a page that supplies those from imagination is exactly what search engines have spent a decade learning to discount. The merchant publishes the room and the booking engine prices it. The tariff sheets are ours.
